As per the information provided by them, and as I already said Beautyrest mattresses are Certi-PUR-US certified, one more thing that you should take into consideration is that they have clearly stated that “We do not promote our foams to be hypoallergenic, soy-based or organic.”

It is clearly mentioned that they do use a fire-retardant barrier system that is “composed primarily of cotton or other cellulosic renewable fibers and use no harmful chemicals or processes.”

What Material is Used Instead of Fiberglass in Beautyrest Mattress

I contacted their customer support to know what material in the Beautyrest mattress if not fiberglass.

To be honest, they did not have the specific material name as they have different suppliers, however, they also mentioned in the mail that “We do not promote our foam to be hypoallergenic, soy-based, or organic.”

Their fire retardant barrier is “composed primarily of cotton or other cellulosic renewable fibers and use no harmful chemicals or processes.”

Actually, this was what I found while testing their mattress for fiberglass.

It’s important to know which model of Beautyrest mattress have fiberglass as there are many mattress brands that do say that their mattress is fiberglass free, but in reality, their premium mattress collection comes under the category.

Meanwhile, let me tell you from my experience, that you need to consider many things before you buy a good mattress. A mattress which is good for me may not be suitable for you.

It depends on which type of sleeper you are, whether you are a side sleeper as in this case, you will need a softer mattress that can support your shoulders, whereas, if you are a back sleeper you may need a firm or hybrid mattress to keep your spine properly aligned.

Depends on body shape and body weight as well and a mattress shorter than 12 inches won’t be good for a heavy person.

According to me, the two most important factors to know is Beautyrest mattress good or not is understanding the materials used and the construction location.

Beautyrest mattresses as I said are not organic or soy-based but the good thing about these mattresses is they do not have harmful and toxic materials in their mattress. Even I liked the quality of Beautyrest mattresses.

Construction location matters as most mattress companies outsource their product outside the US and it is important for them to meet the safety requirements of the US and Beautyrest mattress meets the requirements.

Are Beautyrest Mattress Toxic

Materials Used in Beautyrest Mattress are not toxic as the materials used in the making of these mattresses meet the US safety standards.

The top layer of their hybrid mattresses is made up of memory foam and the layer just above the spring is a non-memory foam layer.

In basic traditional mattresses, the top layer is made up of polyurethane followed by memory foam. Beautyrest has already clarified that they do use a fire-retardant but it is not made up of any toxic material or fiberglass.
